Frank Castle’s, born Francis Castiglione, life never truly started until he met his wife Maria and was deployed to the Marines. He had two lives: one in the States and the one overseas. He was fiercely loyal to both of his family’s as they were to grow. He had two children during his first and second term and grew to the rank of Captain in the Marine Corps.After many years of active duty, Frank decided that he was going to retire. He came home from his last term and took his family to Central Park in New York to celebrate. It was at that time he and his family were gunned down in what seemed to be a drug trade gone south. This left Frank being the sole survivor in a crime that would try and be quickly covered up.Since then, Frank Castle’s body has continued on as The Punisher— enacting punishment on those who are guilty and have not met their dues to the justice system. Taking judge, jury, and executioner into his own hands. 616/MCU INFORMATION. 

  • Frank Castle was once Francis Castiglione, having changed his name to serve longer in the war.

  • He served from 2001 to 2011, he served 3 terms.

  • Frank was elevated to the position of Captain, even in the Cerberus operation. He still took orders from Schoonover (since the position of Colonel is higher than Captain) and Agent Orange.

  • His family (his wife Maria, daughter Lisa [9], and son Frank Jr [5]) was going to a picnic at the carousel when they were gunned down April 4th, 2011. When attacked, they were attacked by the Dogs of Hell, Kitchen Irish, Mexican Cartel, and the Costa Mafia.

  • Frank was comatose after getting shot in the head for a few months before making a recovery (a very faulty one). He then went to war against the mobs.

  • Most of the events from DDS02 and TPS01 happen, plus very few things from TPS02.

  • The majority of the events of the Punisher volume 01 through 09 happen (excluding volumes 04 and 08 and the Thunderbolts), Frank's timeline usually being written pretty flexibly and usually when he's about 10-ish years into his lifestyle already.

  • Older!Frank is anything after volume 09, usually portrayed as a harder Frank who has encountered and lost so many things (most importantly, the people who grounded him) over the course of being the Punisher.

 MAIN. 
Follows Punisher through Vol. 1 to Vol. 11 (excluding volume 4 and volume 8). Punisher is a one-man army who tracks down all sorts of crime to ultimately put an end to criminals of all sorts. He records all of his experiences in his war journal, and he won't stop until all crime is eliminated or he dies. He's an extremely dangerous man and a force to be reckoned with.

 HIS BODY CONTINUES TO TWITCH. 
Immortal verse. In Cerberus, Frank and his team were given shots to "prevent disease", in which was an experimental serum to make the soldiers into super soldiers. No one knew this, in fact, no one really knows it now. The timeline remains the same within the main verse, except the fact the shot through Frank's head would have killed him if it hadn't turned out he was immortal. There are instances after where Frank has "died" and come back (like when Rawlins beat him. Frank usually retreats to a pitch black place like he did in season 1 with his wife, maria). Eventually, Frank figures out his immortality and how he obtained it, and needless to say, it doesn't go over well.

 BADGE IN ONE HAND GUN IN THE OTHER. 
Detective!Frank Castle verse. Timeline remains the same until after the Central Park massacre (minus the shot to the head, he was also not comatose and was able to attend his family's funeral, there was also no hidden plan to take him out by Cerberus. It was strictly the gangs and Schoonover). He ends up bringing the men responsible to justice through vigilante means, but slowly gets integrated into the police force over time. He quickly climbs up the ranks to a detective. He is also a vigilante when he needs to go outside his job (breaking in, murder, etc), in which he disguises himself as the Punisher. No one knows his double identity. He also takes the opportunity to kill those he deems deserves it while he is a vigilante.

 THE CORPS' BEST SNIPER. 
Apocalypse/TWD verse. Frank Castle had lost his family due to being put in the middle of a drug deal gone south, having decided to become the Punisher. After about a year or two, it became increasingly clear that criminals weren't the only thing he had to worry about. The walker outbreak happened in one day, civilization coming to an end almost immediately. Although civilization has ended, Frank still seeks out those who are corrupt in his eyes while killing as many walkers as he can. He has multiple warehouses throughout the country (with many guns to supply him) and travels with his dog Max to try to save as many people as he can from both themselves and the monsters that roam the streets.
